What to Expect at

Baxter Pilates

We stay in the work long enough to feel it.

There is no standard classical count here just for the sake of rushing through it. We adjust, repeat, and stay with the movement long enough for it to make sense in your body.

We repeat the basics often.

Not only because they are good for your nervous system, but because repetition creates familiarity, confidence, and trust in your own movement. This approach also supports people returning from injury, those rebuilding strength after time away, neurodivergent brains, beginners who need structure to feel safe, and anyone managing stress, burnout, or anxiety in their daily life. We want the work to live in your body long enough that it becomes automatic, natural, and yours.

We do not believe in hierarchy like beginner versus advanced.

We believe in trying, adjusting, modifying, and building. Progress is not about proving yourself. It is about practice, consistency, and learning how your body moves best.

We believe Pilates is both movement and art.

Everybody that walks into the studio brings its own signature style, rhythm, and expression. We honor that. There is no one correct way to look while moving, only honest work and intentional practice.

From the Founder:

I will be a consistent and safe space for you to move.

Classes should feel supportive, clear, and trustworthy. I will hold space for your progress and practice.

I commit to learning, growing, and guiding you safely through traditional and contemporary Pilates sequences.

Teaching well means continuing to learn. I take that seriously and I will continue to evolve so I can support you better.

I commit to creating a clean space.

Because details matter. How a space feels matters. You should walk in and feel cared for before class even starts.

And most importantly, I also commit to putting my ego aside.

If there is ever a moment where I have fallen short, broken my own standards, or missed something I should have handled better, I will meet that with honesty, accountability, and openness. I will always ask for the same grace I would extend to you.

I aim to cultivate classes built on trust, and trust requires humility.

I will continue to do my best to create the class I always wanted to take, consistently and to the best of my ability, and to truly see you and meet you where you are.

When you’re ready,
your space is here.
